A Journey of Passion

Toronto Pie's story began in 1967 with a dream and an unexpected turn of fate. Our founder started his journey to Canada with plans for an engineering career, but destiny had different plans in store.

A chance encounter with master Italian pizza artisan Francesco Longo changed everything. Witnessing Francesco's incredible skill, dedication, and the pure artistry of his craft was a revelation that sparked an immediate passion for pizza making.

What started as fascination quickly became apprenticeship, and apprenticeship evolved into mastery. This was the beginning of what would become Toronto's most beloved pizza tradition.

Our Journey

The Beginning

Journey to Canada began with engineering dreams, but fate had other plans when we discovered the art of pizza making.

1967

First Restaurant

Opened our first location "Quo Vadis Pizza" and experienced incredible 350% growth in our first year of operation.

1975

Toronto Pie Born

Rebranded and expanded to become Toronto Pie, establishing our signature recipes and artisan techniques.

1990

Today

Now Toronto's leading artisan pizzeria, serving thousands of satisfied customers with the same passion as day one.
